The opening credits sequence features various photographic and painted views, as well as Oklahoma landmarks, superimposed on the New York City landscape: The Sioux Indian chief statue "Touch the Clouds" wearing a War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (breastplate) placed atop the Brooklyn Bridge The Golden Driller statue placed on the Statue of Liberty Route 66 Western Gateway Arch placed on Major Manhattan "Avenue". In New York City, Manhattan, these are a series of numbered "Avenues" that crisscross smaller numbered streets.. Sylvester Stallone absolutely kills it in Tulsa King!
For Stallone to make a TV show, you knew it had to have a good script, and of course it would be made with Taylor Sheridan. Sheridan continues to hit home run after home run. He is the best thing happening on TV right now with incredible shows like Yellowstone, 1883, The Mayor of Kingstown, etc., as well as movies like Sicario, Hell or High Water, and Wind River.
Also one of the other writers is Terrence Winter, who wrote shows like The Sopranos & Boardwalk Empire. There was no way this show was going to be bad with these two at the helm. It has everything you want in a good show… drama, violence, comedy, etc.
