The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes a living by carrying out assassinations at the highest price. He soon meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. The novel “The Day of the Jackal” is set in 1963 and involves an assassination attempt on then-French President Charles de Gaulle.

Lynch is completely wrong

The show moves the setting to the present day. It’s referenced in Graham Norton and Guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). His acting is poor.

It baffles me

Why was he cast in this role when so many actors could do it better? His character is not interesting, it’s just another role of an obsessed agent. Eddie Redmayne can do it all, his range as an actor is impressive, from theatre, drama, musicals and films.

It never disappoints

In this role he is solid in everything he plays. The plot is interesting and engaging… it’s funny how we applaud the Jackal…

but not the agent of ME 6

The setting of the series is impressive and the plot is exciting. It is not comparable to the original, it is an adaptation worthy of our time.
