After a traumatic incident at their elite college, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien decide to preserve their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel Cruel Intentions 2 (2000), with Amy Adams replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar in the role of Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted television series before being re-edited into a feature film.

Gellar later reprised her role as Kathryn in 2016 in the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series. Where did you find these actors and why are you trying to re-make this iconic film!

Do you really think any of these people could have played these roles better or even as well as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon or Slema Blair? I think kids today who aren’t used to really good acting might think it’s good, but it’s not.
