I’ve been spoiled by streaming, and after the first two episodes aired and now I have to wait a week, I scream! Great casting – the extreme/fake actors didn’t take me out of the story. I’m already interested in the character arcs – the character development and writing is spot on.
There was some dramatic action in the first episode, which keeps us on our toes. And it gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the US oil industry. The only criticism is that the daughter’s portrayal is embarrassing.
She should be 17 but she looked so old I googled her and she’s TWENTY SEVEN!! And what daughter would walk around in panties with her ass out if her father AND her roommates at work kept saying she doesn’t know how gross it is and her father never says anything? The panty scenes twice, the naked running scene in the shower, and the extended (nonexistent) spoiled brat bikini scene are all unnecessary, detract from the quality of the show, and will turn off many viewers.
The male writers and producers don’t have to pander to the lowest denominator of their gender if the story and direction are up to par! Update your watchlist with the latest selection of streaming movies and TV shows coming to Paramount+ this month.
