Two Harkonnen sisters fight forces that threaten the future of humanity and found a fabled sect known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping a dystopia, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about.. This series uses material from the Great Schools of Dune trilogy by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
The instance where Valya Harkonnen uses the voice is from an event called “Mentats of Dune”. All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentati, the Navigators and the Suk Doctors. Referred to in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: The New Normal (2020). The effects work, the story works well enough and is engaging.
But if there’s one thing that bothers me, it’s Travis Fimmel. First of all, I have to say that I absolutely love her. He brings an intensity that is hard to match. As good as this is, he is very one dimensional.
We’ve seen it as a warcraft movie and raised wolves. He’s basically always Ragnar Lothbrok, and it’s very disturbing. I really hope his character dies as soon as possible because that’s the only thing that has a negative effect on this TV series on a subjective level. I have to commend the Cast for the younger characters.
The actors playing the younger versions of Valya and Tula are very well acted. This is "in the dark" level and that is to be commended. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you haven’t seen any shows featuring Travis Fimmel lately.
