The presence of the island determines the first and, perhaps, the main difference Legend of Grimrock 2 from the original: the action now unfolds not only underground, but also in the open air. Sandy shore, huge forests, temples, rivers, castles, pyramids and, of course, dungeons, from which there is still nothing to get away – there are much more interesting and diverse locations. Accordingly, more enemies, riddles, insidious traps and unpleasant surprises.
We chop bushes to get to some mushroom from which you can boil a potion, or to the chest hidden in often. We dive into the water to collect again the algae useful for the alchemist or move to where you can’t go by land. We swear the earth with a shovel in the hope of getting out the equipment, which, according to the find found, was hidden somewhere here by the previous visitor to the strange island. Middles and riddles are more interesting. The combat system itself has not changed much. Unless the opportunity to switch between two slots for weapons and potions was added. In one, for example, an ax and a dagger, in the other – throwing knives and a life -giving red bottle. Otherwise, everything is the same: click on the weapon icon with the right button and strike.
